People find a way to turn anything into profit these days - and why shouldn’t they? For some of you fellow drone geeks, I’ve made a guide on how to make money with a drone the quick and easy way.

If you’re interested in turning your hobby into a profit in no time, you’ll find these couple of tips on making some extra money on the side quite helpful. The coolest part is that you get to use your drone to do so.

These are easier to pull off than you think - but believe me, you’re not the only one that has doubts.

I’ve talked to many people who have a drone, and most of them are either afraid to use it in this way or think that there’s no place for them in this business because they’re not professionals.

But that’s not true at all:

You shouldn’t shy away from testing your drone skills on the market and getting paid to do what you love.

Now, let’s see a few ways to make money while flying your drone!

Aerial Photos & Video Footage

Some people think you need a top-tier drone to take awesome aerial photos or video footage of your surrounding area.

That’s not true, though.

With some of these drones, you can capture fantastic high-quality photos and videos - and you can further sell your footage on various websites.

Granted, not all drones have the same camera quality. However, some have a pretty decent camera attached to them - enough to allow you to take some of the most incredible amateur photos out there.

Depending on the model of your drone, all you’ll have to do - after you’ve taken these pictures - is transfer them to your laptop or PC and upload them to a few websites that allow you to sell your photos and video footage online.

Some of my personal favorites are Adobe Stock and Shutterstock, for example. But keep in mind that making your own website that you’ll then advertise and sell from is also an option.

Building a website might seem like a lot of work at first. But when you realize that you won’t have to give away a percentage of your profits that way, it becomes a much better idea, huh?

It’s a pretty common way for people who are into drones and photography to make money - and that means you won’t have any trouble finding in-depth tutorials online that teach you some tips and tricks.

How To Trim Your Drone: Final Words

For this one, you’ll have to be registered as a private company - but that’s not that hard to do in this day and age.

Today, digital mapping and topography heavily rely on small UAVs, such as drones. These small quadcopters have distinctive flying capabilities and can be used for a variety of tasks.

Let’s sum it up like this:

Where a human eye can’t see, a drone’s camera can film.

It’s a decent way to make extra money. Think about it - you’ll be paid much more to do this kind of job, and your paydays will be much more frequent compared to selling your aerial footage online.

These jobs require you to register as an actual company, but the process of doing so is usually straightforward, regardless of where you live. And the extra income that could come from doing this job is 100% worth it, anyway.

So, don’t hesitate to try this one out and see how good you are at it.

Reselling Drones And Drone Parts

create your own drone

There are some drone fanatics out there who love collecting not only brand new drones but old - and sometimes even broken - ones, too. This approach to making money with drones is perfect for them.

The second-hand drone market is a thing. People often like to buy used drones to save some money or, if they’re new to the whole thing, dip their feet into the hobby and test out a drone or two without spending a fortune.

Drone parts are also something that could be turned into a good profit since people who break their drones prefer to buy spare parts instead of buying a whole new drone.

With things like Facebook Marketplace and Instagram stores, it’s pretty easy to advertise your services to anyone interested in buying spare drone parts.

Shipping is relatively cheap these days, too. So, you won’t be limited to your area or state only; you can ship a small package for a small fee across the continent.

Many people already do this for spare parts for all kinds of widgets and tech stuff. Some people also know how to fix and modify their drones, so they tend to buy spare parts from people like you and repair their drones at home to maximize saving money.

Given that most of you probably don’t have spare drone parts lying around right now, to get into this business, you’ll have to buy your supplies first.

It’s a smart move to use Facebook Marketplace here, too.

You might find some awesome one-time deals on there that you can later turn into profit.

Websites like eBay and Craigslist might also help here. People often give away stuff related to drones - or even broken drones that they think don’t have any value. That’s an excellent way to start!

How To Make Money With A Drone? - Summary

Obviously, there’s more than one option when it comes to how to make money with a drone.

I’d say it’s just a matter of your imagination and what you can think of; so, use your imagination and come up with even more ways of making money while using drones and quadcopters.

The options are limitless! The only thing stopping you is - well, you.

I hope some of these suggestions were helpful - or at least made you think about the idea of bringing your hobby and profit together.

All in all, there is a place for you on the drone market for sure; you just have to find it!
